Granola Honey Bars

  1. 2 tbsp ground flax seeds

  2. 75 ml (1/3 cup) water

  3. 120 ml (½ cup) sunflower oil

  4. 75 ml (1/3 cup) Langnese Bee Easy Speedy Bee

  5. 125g (1½ cups) rolled oats

  6. ½ tsp. baking powder

  7. ¼ tsp. salt

  8. ½ tsp. ground cinnamon

  9. Pinch of nutmeg

  10. 60g (½ cup) walnuts, chopped

  11. 25g (¼ cup) pumpkin seeds

  12. 50g (¼ cup) raisins

  13. 1½ tsp. vanilla extract


  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a 20 X 20 cm baking tin.

  2. Place the flax seeds and water in a bowl and mix to combine, then set aside to soak.

  3. Place half the oats in a food processor and pulse until fine like flour then transfer to a large mixing bowl and add the remaining oats, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, walnuts, pumpkin seeds and raisins.

  4. In a jug, mix the oil with the honey and vanilla until combined, then pour over the dry ingredients and stir using a wooden spoon.

  5. Spread the mixture onto the baking tin and press down evenly.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes then allow it to cool inside the tin before taking out of the moulds and cutting into bars.
