Pure Manuka Honey
MGO 400+

Well-being’s sweetest ingredient

The best of nature –

naturally for you!

Our new Langnese Pure Manuka Honey is a dark monofloral honey, harvested by bees from the precious nectar of New Zealand’s native Manuka trees. The six to eight meters high Manuka tree blooms only a few months per year. During this time, bees collect the nectar from the white Manuka blossoms. Our Langnese Pure Manuka Honey features an MGO (Methylglyoxal) content of 400+ – much higher than in other honeys. Already the native people of New Zealand, the Maori, used the benefits of Manuka honey as a remedy for internal and external ailments.

Manuka honey

comes from the nectar of the tea tree, better known as the Manuka tree, which grows exclusively in New Zealand and parts of Australia. The six- to eight-metre-tall Manuka tree blooms for a few months each year. The bees collect the nectar from the white to reddish flowers.

Long tradition

The indigenous people of New Zealand, the Maori, were aware of the benefits of the Manuka tree. They used not only the antibacterial effect of the honey as a remedy for internal and external ailments, but also the essential oils they extracted from the bark.

Methylglyoxal (MGO)

is a naturally occurring metabolite with high antiseptic and antibacterial properties. The MGO value on the product indicates how many milligrams of methylglyoxal it contains per kilogram of honey.
