In the Bükk Mountains in north-eastern Hungary, Imre Agardi was born into his calling. As a second-generation beekeeper, he learnt from his parents to respect bees as fascinating creatures who maintain an impressive rhythm of life. Since 1996, Imre has been continuing this family tradition and, supported by his family, now cares for around 250 to 300 bee colonies. For him, the wonderful thing about his work is seeing how his colonies develop.

The forests and valleys of the Bükk Mountains, lush with wild flowers, offer a paradise for the bees. Surrounded by unspoilt nature, Imre established an organic beekeeping venture here 18 years ago, in which the welfare of the bees and respect for the environment are the top priorities. Particularly between the months of April and June, his colonies gather nectar for acacia and blossom honey. Through careful nurturing, Imre preserves the beauty of Hungary’s natural landscapes, thereby offering you moments of pure enjoyment.
